The smallest van hire hire, the small wheelbase van, is really not an option as the load length is just over 2 meters, most couches are longer than that on there own.
The medium van van, again is probably to short , a medium wheelbase van is only 2.6 meters long so your still restricted on what you can carry.
The long vans are possibly an option but our long wheelbase vans are still only 3.7 meters long in the back, although they are available as a high roof. So this van would be an option for moving into your first small flat and if your willing to do multiple runs.
The Extra long vans are more realistic as they fit a great deal more in the load space. Our extra long vans offer around 4 meters of load space and are only available to hire as a high roof.
In reality the best van, and most popular house moving van is our big box van, also known as a Luton van with a tail lift. The tail lift is ideal for lifting heavy loads (upto 500kg) into the box style back. The loading space is the biggest in it’s class. Also this van has the a very tall loading area as well as plenty of room above the drivers cab. The Luton box van can also be driven on a standard UK car drivers license as it weighs 3500kgs, fully loaded.
